Ali Carlson

What do you really do at work?
As the Meetings & Membership Specialist for the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy (ANPT), I provide customer service to leadership and members, plan and execute event logistics, and track and oversee continuing education opportunities.

Describe your Perfect Day.
My perfect day would include waking up by the natural light, eating a hearty brunch at Cracker Barrel or Hazel’s in Northeast Minneapolis, paddle boarding on Lake Bde Maka Ska, petting many dogs, laughing a lot, eating dinner at Lago Tacos, going to a musical at the Orpheum, and playing cards at a brewery with friends. In between each activity I would be singing very loudly in my car.

What’s your Superpower?
The Activator strength (from The Strengths Finder) - I get things done.  I have the ability to turn thoughts, ideas, and concepts into action. Action aside, I am very loyal and love to provide a positive experience for anyone I come in contact with. I also really enjoy when people laugh at my jokes.

What’s your life motto?
“Try not to become a (wo)man of success, but rather try to become a (wo)man of value.” – Albert Einstein

What inspires you?
I am inspired by passionate people and positive environments.
