Q&A

What do you really do at work?
My group is the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus (AAPOS). My bread-and-butter is meeting planning, but I also assist with the marketing and communications for the organization. It is such a honor to work with such a passionate group of volunteers; and pediatric physicians are easily the most fun group of people to work alongside.

Describe your Perfect Day.
Step 1 – sleep in.
Step 2 – spend time with my husband and our little dude.
Step 3 – calories don’t count… I’m going to eat all the cheese, wine, and desserts.
Step 4 –go get a massage.
Step 5 – listen to live music.
Step 6 – repeat step 3.
Step 7 – go to bed at a reasonable hour.
(If someone could clean my entire house while I complete steps 1-7; that would be great!)

What’s your Superpower?
While sometimes I may be screaming on the inside, my superpower is to be the calming presence onsite at events or in otherwise stressful situations. Let’s keep it Zen.

What’s your life motto?
“Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.  Be kind, always.”  Robin Williams

What inspires you?
Working mamas! Like Beyoncé says “Who run the world? GIRLS!” I find inspiration from moms out there that balance their careers along with raising a family and the never-ending tasks of home life.
