About Jim
Jim brings extensive experience in law, government, association management,
and nonprofit leadership. A Juris Doctor graduate, he has served in senior legislative roles and
led membership and nonprofit organizations, with expertise in governance, strategic planning,
operations, financial management, stakeholder engagement, and communications.
What do you really do for work?
As the Associate Executive Director for the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, I am responsible for the client’s daily operations and collaborating with team members.
Describe your perfect day
I love a crisp fall Saturday, with my family, and watching Michigan play football. This is preceded by an early morning trip to the cider mill!

Leadership: I have the ability to motivate others to exceed their own expectations.
What's your life motto?
Hope is a great thing, but it is not a strategy.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the human spirit. I never cease to be amazed by people, who have endured a hardship, and their ability to go on and rebuild their lives.
