What do you really do at work?
As the Meeting and Education Manager I wear multiple hats. I am responsible for planning the OHBM annual meeting for 3,500 members overseeing all event logistics. Additionally, I work closely with my team to spearhead OHBM’s continuing education program.

Describe your Perfect Day.
A sunny spring day. Taking my niece to the park followed by brunch with friends. Rediscovering Minneapolis. Binging Queer Eye on Netflix.

What’s your Superpower?
An eye for design. I’m inspired by the world around me and I enjoy exercising creativity to make people feel welcome and part of a community that stands for the greater good.

What’s your life motto?
All you need is love. And gummy bears.

What inspires you?
I’m inspired by problems that need solving. Give me the big picture and I’ll figure out a solution.

Her Story:

Emily lives for details. As the Meeting and Education Manager for the Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) she oversees event execution and continuing education initiatives.

Emily’s background is in non-profit membership and event planning where she worked at Dress for Success Worldwide in New York City.

She is now glad to be back in Minnesota where she grew up. Emily graduated from Saint Catherine University with a degree in Sociology and Women’s Studies. She currently lives in the North Loop and enjoys checking out local breweries and restaurants.
