Monae Redmond
Q&A
What do you really do at work?
As Executive Director for ASOT, FHS, and NAFTnet, I ensure that all programs, activities, services of these associations run smoothly, and that they directly benefit and add value to it’s members. I support the volunteer professionals of each association, and do what I can to make their lives easier. This includes support for the board/executive committees, budget/finance, annual meeting, membership, marketing, etc.
Describe your Perfect Day.
A perfect day would be a day at the beach or pool, with a skinny margarita and no responsibilities.
What’s your Superpower?
Empathy is my superpower. Whenever I interact with someone, I put myself in their shoes so that I can recognize their point of view. I always take into consideration how people may feel in certain situations.
What’s your life motto?
"Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose without regret. Appreciate your friends. Continue to learn. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is." — Mary Ann Radmacher
